Raymond Singleton-McGuire reports; whilst we have visited other hotels along the coastline we have always returned to the Kombo Beach Hotel every time we have gone on holiday to Gambia. It is ideally located for the beach and it has all the attractions and amenities around the resort. The main taxi rank for the area is immediately outside the front gate and all locations are listed, together with prices; but beware, the prices are for the green taxis which are predominantly for tourists and are about 3 or 4 times the price of the yellow taxis. You will have a nice pleasant walk to the main road area (about 10 minutes) where you will be able to get one of the yellow taxis for a quarter of the price. Yellow taxis are only permitted to drop-off and not pick-up outside the hotel.
