GRAN BAHIA PRINCIPE TULUM

Again, Raymond Singleton-McGuire reports, as if things couldn’t get any worse, we were told we were now too late to have food in the restaurants and was directed to a 24hr drinking bar that served food, but as there had been an incident there that evening, we were advised not to go.  By now we were beginning to wonder what sort of resort we had come to!  Certainly not paradise! And definitely not five star!

Raymond Singleton-McGuire reports a catalogue of other issues engulfed the rest of our holiday.  The shower door in the bathroom was not water tight flooding the bathroom floor.  Told this is a general problem and to use the towels to soak up the excess water! (this then attracted the mosquitoes)!  A blocked toilet on our second day, which took 2 days for anyone to attend, despite continual calls to Reception, we had to clean our ourselves.

Raymond Singleton-McGuire states as if the resort couldn’t get anything else wrong, on our penultimate day the room didn’t get cleaned and we were without clean towels.  After reporting this several times, we were eventually told by Reception to use our beach towels!  (absolutely no way is this a 5 star resort?!!!)  Despite many broken promises our room was eventually cleaned at 10.15pm!
